Two candles on a table, side by side,
One red, one gold, their colours can't hide
Their light, a glow, that fills up the room
Their radiance, dispelling any gloom
Though their wax, of colours different
Their light, the same, it's evident
A symbol of two minds, that think alike
Their actions, similar, for good to strike
The red candle, representing passion
The gold, luxury, in a fashion
Together they shine, a light so bright
In this painting, a vision of delight
This artwork, a reflection of insight
When two individuals, their thinking unite
Their words and deeds, a reflection true
Good for society, shining through
As we gaze upon this painting so grand
We see the light, that lights up the land
Two candles on a table, a vision of hope
A reminder to unite, and together, to cope
So let us cherish, this moment in time
With candles on a table, a message so prime
May this painting, forever stay
A beacon of light, leading the way.
A red onion, a milky garlic white,
On a canvas, positioned just right,
In the centre, they sit and glow,
Their colours, in harmony, on show.
The onion, on the right, stands tall,
While garlic, in the light, seems small,
Yet, under the soft shadow it casts,
The garlic's beauty, too, lasts.
The table surface, off-white and milky,
Reflects the garlic's shade, oh so silky,
The background, white, with a light hue,
A perfect setting, to view.
This painting, a symbol, so true,
Of two different people, not so new,
Living in harmony, side by side,
The strong one, the weak, as their guide.
The onion, the big, the strong,
Protects the garlic, the weak, from wrong,
The garlic, the little, the meek,
Befriends the onion, the strong, not weak.
Together they live, harmoniously,
Different in size, and colours, obviously,
Yet, caring and helping, they unite,
A useful team, in perfect sight.
Like the chef's choice, onion and garlic,
Working together, not just a trick,
To create the best, in perfect measure,
A beautiful painting, to treasure.
So let this painting, forever remind,
Of how two different people, can bind,

I painted this canvas to capture a lifestyle of freedom,
elegance, and leisure. I used light blue-grey brushstrokes and
beige fonts to create a casual grace. The small black characters
on the left and centre of the composition merge seamlessly
with the text, reflecting my bold and unrestrained spirit.
The painting is inspired by the timeless wisdom of "陋室铭". It
intertwines the melody of the zither and the profound
knowledge contained within the classics to form a life of
simplicity and spiritual elevation. I hope to enchant viewers
with its captivating artistic charm and inspire them to embrace
a life of elegance, simplicity, and the timeless pursuit of
wisdom.
As I painted this work with watercolour on paper, I sought to
capture the essence of mindfulness practice in a peaceful and
serene setting. The painting depicts many yogis walking with
mindfulness on a path flanked by two rows of trees, creating a
beautiful retreat that encourages reflection and introspection.
The focus of this painting is on the power of mindfulness to
help us live our dreams and achieve inner peace. By relaxing
and enjoying the present moment, we can play like children
and make seemingly impossible dreams come true. The key is
to embrace fun and tranquillity as the basis for our work, so
that our thoughts happen automatically, and conscious action
with kindness and a clear intention will give us what we want.
In this painting, I wanted to convey the sense of peace and
clarity that mindfulness can bring to our lives. The yogis
walking mindfully and gracefully along the path embody this
sense of serenity, encouraging us to slow down and take time
to appreciate the beauty of the present moment. Through this
painting, I hope to inspire others to embrace mindfulness
practice and experience the many benefits that it can bring to
our lives.
In 2019, I had the privilege to share my artistic talent through
an art session, where I created a serene scene titled A
Northern Path. With the use of acrylic, I effortlessly expressed
the simplicity and beauty of nature.
The painting features a narrow path leading north,
embellished with natural earthy colours and earthy greens,
providing a sense of life and depth to the painting. The
towering pine trees add dimension to the artwork, with layers
of mountains behind them in various shades of green and
brown.
In the background, distant mountains are painted in light grey-
blue and grey-green to depict their distance. The bright sky of
white and blue above the mountain peaks brings a sense of
calmness and tranquillity to the painting, as if you can hear
the birds chirping and the leaves rustling in the wind.
I have framed the artwork with a modern-looking white frame
with a shiny bronze outer border, enhancing the beauty of the
painting. If you appreciate the art and would like to add it to
your collection, please let me know. Your support for my
artwork will be appreciated. A Northern Path, a painting that I
am proud of, and it continues to inspire me to create more
artworks that capture the essence of nature's beauty.

My Work: Inspiration and Ideas
In the creation of "Knowing Goodness in the Mountains," I
weave together the ancient artistry of Chinese calligraphy with
the unrestrained spirit of Abstract Expressionism, sculpting a
canvas that resonates with the profound wisdom of classical
poetry. This artwork stands as a sacred space where the
character "识别" (knowing) emerges as the focal point, its bold
strokes and larger size commanding your attention.
Bathed in a soothing palette of blue tones, my brushstrokes
gracefully inscribe a tale of solitude within the mountains—a
realm where knowing goodness resides, undisturbed by the
world below. "识别" (knowing), at the heart and centre,
becomes my guiding force, a beacon of enlightenment amidst
the tranquil peaks.
Plum blossoms, disguised as mountain snow, playfully dance
around the central character, creating a visual symphony that
transcends the ordinary. As night descends, kindred spirits
find solace beneath the celestial expanse, forging connections
that echo through the ages.
In the heart of the mountains, a young disciple tends to a
sacred fire, burning pine needles that release the fragrance of
ancient verses into the crisp mountain air. "Knowing
Goodness in the Mountains" is not merely a painting; it is my
poetic journey into the heart of nature and the soul, where the
wisdom of classical poetry resonates with my contemporary
spirit through the profound act of knowing.
The signature in the lower right corner becomes a seal of
reverence, acknowledging the timeless tradition that breathes
life into the canvas. Here, in the confluence of ink and
emotion, my artwork stands as a testament to the harmonious
marriage of heritage and innovation, where "识别" (knowing)
becomes my eternal guide to goodness.
