Patchwork of Voices 3
This work is a lively and intricate abstract ink drawing on paper, where
the energy comes from both the colour choices and the dense layering
of patterns.
The composition is built from a patchwork of irregular shapes, each
filled with its own distinct motif: zigzags, spirals, stripes, waves, grids,
and dots. The black ink grounds the work, giving weight and contrast,
while the coloured inks and markers—reds, oranges, yellows, greens,
blues—create a kaleidoscopic vibrancy. The juxtaposition of dark and
bright fields makes the eye travel restlessly across the image, never
settling in one place for long.
There’s a sense of rhythm, almost musical, in the way patterns echo
and contrast each other. For instance, circular motifs in orange and
blue answer the concentric yellow and black forms elsewhere, while
striped segments in red and yellow resonate with green undulating
lines. The composition feels like a map of shifting terrains, or perhaps a
woven fabric where each strand carries its own identity but together
creates a whole.
Because no single motif dominates, the piece emphasizes diversity and
coexistence: each pattern holds space alongside others, suggesting a
meditation on multiplicity and harmony in difference. At the same time,
the sharp contrasts and sudden changes keep the work dynamic and
playful.
It might also be read as an intuitive exploration—drawing with ink and
colour as a form of meditation, where repetition and variation guide
the hand.
Poetic Reflection
Patchwork of Voices 3
Each fragment speaks in its own tongue—
lines that ripple, dots that dance,
waves that weave and colours that clash.
Together they form a living chorus,
a tapestry of rhythms and echoes,
where no single voice rules,
yet all belong.
