Cartography of Dreams
This painting is a lively interplay of colours, lines, and organic forms. At
first glance, it resembles a map or a dreamlike topography — layers of
shifting landscapes, rivers, coral reefs, or geological strata. The artist’s
use of strong black outlines creates compartments, almost like stained
glass, within which swirling, wavy, or geometric patterns emerge.
The upper section in cool blues and aquas feels like flowing water or
aerial views of land and sea, while the lower section, with warmer pinks
and earth tones, suggests coral formations, flowers, or living tissues.
Together, the work bridges nature’s microscopic and macroscopic
scales, blurring whether we are looking down at earth’s patterns from
above or inward at life’s structures.
There’s a rhythmic quality in the repeated spirals, concentric circles,
and waves, which give the impression of energy in motion — almost as
if the painting breathes. It evokes curiosity and contemplation, drawing
the eye from one zone to another as though exploring hidden
pathways.
Poetic Reflection
Cartography of Dreams
Lines wander like rivers,
colours breathe like coral,
shapes unfold as if the earth itself
were sketching its secret memory.
In these shifting paths,
we glimpse both roots and skies,
a map not of places,
but of wonder becoming form.
